Link a matter's wiki to a folder on your laptop. Edits round-trip both ways — local markdown ↔ recall. Linking a matter freezes it from reorganization (its slug is the folder identity).

The Syncthing service isn't wired to architect yet (one-time infra). Linking is disabled until SYNCTHING_API_BASE_URL + SYNCTHING_API_KEY are set and the sidecar is up.
